    "Sent Ones": The Tutoring Ministry at the Rowland Rebele Family Shelter

    Fall quarter is over and students have left for Winter Break. This week I've spent some time reflecting and evaluating the quarter, asking God to give me clarity as to how he moved in me personally but also in the ministry as a whole and in the lives of students.

    Beyond the "Good Samaritan"

        Many know the story of the "Good Samaritan" from the Bible, found in the Gospel of Luke 10:25-37. The problem I have with the good Samaritan is, it exemplified for us all "who" our neighbor is and therefore who we're supposed to love, but the story left the road from Jerusalem to Jericho unchanged.     kiva.org

    As I was perusing a new blog I found titled Radical Congruency, I also stumbled up an amazing organization called Kiva. What is Kiva? On their website they state, "Kiva lets you lend to a specific entrepreneur in the developing world empowering themselves to lift themselves out of poverty." This looks like an inspiring way to contribute to the growing popularity of microfinance and to help the poor around the world. Please take some time to check it out.
