We celebrated Maya's first birthday yesterday at Blue Ball Park in Soquel. We had a few close friends and family come and celebrate with us, but we definitely missed the Perry side of the family. Tate had a blast playing on the playground equipment as usual. We ate sandwiches, ate cupcakes and laughed at Maya tasting chocolate for the first time. Below is a brief video of her digging into her first cupcake. I'll post some pictures hopefully by tomorrow.

Awwww that's like a mile from my parents' house! I wish I could have been there, but this is good enough for now :)
